Day Camp Good News is a fun, God-centered week of fun and outdoor games during the summer for children ages 6-12. (Mature 5 year olds are also welcome). Registration opens at 8:30 (Camp begins at 9am) and goes until 12:30pm. Extra snacks and water games are provided after camp on Friday for the entire family!
We partner yearly with Calvary Crossroads Church for over six years now, combining CC VBS and Camp Good News!
Day Camp Good News is a summer ministry of CEF Josephine, the Church’s administrator of the local school based Good News Clubs for decades.
Each camper is placed on one of six to ten teams (depending on numbers) that is supervised throughout the morning and early afternoon by a staff leader and helper(s) that have been trained and screened from local church congregations. Life-enhancing lessons from the Bible are taught by Good News Club/Jesus Pizza Club teachers. Our trained CYIA teen missionaries play a big role in teaching and guiding as well as demonstrating a real-life missionary story. Kids also participate in active games, crafts and water play and receive a themed snack.

Registration for Camp Good News VBS opens yearly every April and closes end of July. Registration can be done either online here: Camp Registration or on paper available at our office or through the mail.
83 kids attended Camp Good News VBS in July 2026. At “Operation Arctic”, campers explored the coolest Book on the planet and discovered how they can know for sure that the Bible is God’s written Word to us! Kids also learned about the Wordless Book and Joy Ridderhof, missionary to Alaska!
