Day Camp Good News is a fun, God-centered week of fun and outdoor games during the summer for children ages 6-12. (Mature 5 year olds are also welcome).
We are pleased to partner with Calvary Crossroads for our fifth year now, combining CC VBS and Good News Day Camp!
Day Camp Good News is a summer ministry of CEF Josephine, the Church’s administrator of the local school based Good News Clubs for decades.
Each camper is placed on one of six to ten teams (depending on numbers) that is supervised throughout the morning and early afternoon by a staff leader and helper(s) that have been trained and screened from local church congregations. Life-enhancing lessons from the Bible are taught by Good News Club/Jesus Pizza Club teachers. Our CYIA teens play a big role in teaching and guiding as well as demonstrating a real-life missionary story. Kids also participate in active games, crafts and water play and receive a themed snack in the middle of camp.

85 kids attended VBS Day Camp in July 2025. At “Rocket Racers”, Campers raced through the true Bible story of Elijah’s life, where they saw that God’s team wins in the end and that no challenge is a match for Him, the all-powerful champion! They also learned about the missionary John Paton, pioneer missionary to the cannibals of New Hebrides Islands.
